While making your child — and you — comfortable, he gets your child off on the right path to dental health in a practical, safe, and positive manner.

Dr. George as his patients call him, earned  his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in 1996. Thereafter, he continued his formal education and earned a Certificate in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at the University of California at San Francisco Dental School.

Dr. Lin’s area of focus was in the UCSF Center for Orofacial Pain under the direction of the world renowned Dr. Charles McNeill.

During that time Dr. Lin held the position of Associate professor at the Dental School.

Afterward,  Dr. Lin  went from the West coast to the East coast, specifically to complete the two year pediatric dental residency at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. There he received pediatric dental training alongside pediatrician residents. Emphasis was on caring for children with complex dental problems and health issues.

Dr. Lin also specializes in restorative treatment for children with cleft lip and palate, craniofacial disorders, osteogenesis imperfecta, and dentinogenesis imperfecta.

He has been serving children with special needs at Shriners Hospital in Chicago for over 16 years on the Cleft Lip and Palate team as well as the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Clinic.

Dr. Lin has coauthored publications of osteogenesis imperfecta and regularly attends professional conferences. He utilizes the latest advances in dentistry and regularly attends educational seminars in the field.

Dr. Lin performs laser frenectomies on children of all ages. He works closely with lactation consultants, speech, language, feeding specialists, doctors and therapists whose common goal is achieving optimal form and function with a surgery that is non-invasive and cost effective.

He enjoys giving back and heads the Wheeling High School athletic mouth guard program and donates his services every year.

Dr. Lin  was born and raised in the Western suburbs and after his training, eventually settled in the same area to raise his own family.  He enjoys his time with his wife and son, two dogs and a fish.  Dr. Lin enjoys travel, new cultures, linguistics, speaks Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese, Spanish, and dabbles with Russian, Hungarian and Polish languages.

Dr. Lin has been certified in LASER DENTISTRY for over 10 years.  Laser dentistry or NO NEEDLE DENTISTRY is a great way to do dental fillings and other procedures on children with great ease.
